STEVEN SAMUELS is a writer, director, artistic director, actor, producer, editor, and publisher with a bad habit of co-founding theaters focused on original plays, a passion he’s pursued with New York’s Ridiculous Theatrical Company, TCG Books and American Theatre magazine, Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., as the founding artistic director of Asheville’s Magnetic Theatre, and now with The Sublime Theater & Press, for which he has directed TRNZ, Rules and How To Break Them, My Crazy My Love (in which he also acted), Robert Returns, Some Notes on Dating After Outbreak, Ben & Angela, and A God in the Waters (in which he also acted), as well as playing the title role in “Krapp’s Last Tape.” Up next: his first produced play in eight years, Death Comes To Play (A High-Stakes Comic Gothic), which he also directs and in which he appears.
