Rodney Smith

Rodney has been part of the Asheville theater scene for the better part of fifteen years. He began acting in multiple productions for The Montford Park Players, Different Strokes! PAC, and The Magnetic Theatre. In 2014, with the encouragement of DS!PAC, he wrote and directed the Fringe Festival award-winning Table 6. Since then, he has gone on to direct his own stage adaptation of Night of the Living Dead (DS!PAC), as well as his original Full-Tilt Boogie at the Big Bang Diner (TMT), and The Three Musketeers (MPP). He was a core writer, performer, sound designer, and producer of The SuperHappy Radio Hour comedy podcast, and head writer/director of the Crimes and Missed Demeanings comedy/variety show. Rodney is also a board member of The Asheville Theater Alliance. When not working in theater, he is an award-winning photographer, proud father, loving boyfriend, and awesome software instructor.
