Biography:
Ben Mackel is an actor, composer, and singer/songwriter originally from Hendersonville and currently in Swannanoa. As an actor, he’s worked professionally for over 30 years in theatre & film including NC Stage, Flat Rock Playhouse, Florida Studio Theatre, and Barter Theatre. As a composer, he’s had musicals produced at Barter Theatre, HART, South Carolina Children’s Theatre, Charleston Stage, and Flat Rock Playhouse. As a singer/songwriter, he’s toured nationally with the harmony driven string band, The Blue Eyed Bettys, and has a local solo project known as Threadbare.
