Marilyn B. Bailey
Marilyn is a big girl with an even bigger personality and voice. She’s got a heapin' handful of Southern charm and the accent to go along with it. She has studied all genres of music- from bluegrass to opera, classical to belting her face off, she loves to sing it all. Marilyn can also play the mandolin, guitar, piano, autoharp, and violin, should you need. She graduated in May 2024 from Regent University with my M.F.A. in Acting and is entering the industry with freshly minted skills in Meisner, Practical Aesthetics, and Linklater. She also holds a B.A. in Music from Western Carolina University and has eight years of teaching Kindergarten through Collegiate under her belt. She currently works at Asheville Community Theatre as one of their full-time Costume Designers. Marilyn was last seen on stage as the Ma Perkins understudy at Unto These Hills in Cherokee, NC and some of her favorite roles include Mother (Ragtime), Percy Talbot (The Spitfire Grill), and Meg Brockie (Brigadoon).
