Lillian Deal
Originally from East Tennessee, Lillian is an actor, dancer, and writer who graduated with honors from Carson-Newman University’s Theatre Program in 2023.
Onstage, Lillian has previously performed in Silent Sky (Henrietta Leavitt), Little Women (Jo March), and Newsies (Katherine Plumber). Other credits include Freaky Friday (Savannah), The Silver Chair (Green Lady), God’s Favorite (Rose Benjamin), and God Committee (Ann Ross). In 2024, she also performed in Night of Showtunes Cabaret for a regional nonprofit arts program, The Rose Center.
A trained dancer, Lillian has studied Ballet (Vaganova and Balanchine methods), Contemporary, Modern, and Jazz, performing with Fuzion School of the Art's Senior Dance Company as a principal dancer from 2020 to 2023.
Beyond performance, Lillian is a writer and director. Her original full-length drama Vignettes (2023)—an exploration of grief, mental health, and adolescence—premiered at Carson-Newman University with three sold-out performances. Her poetry was also featured in a limited art exhibition in 2024 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
With extensive offstage experience in directing, design, and technical theater that includes lighting, scenic artistry, and set construction, Lillian brings an understanding of production to every collaboration. She has also shared her craft as an educator with dance, theater, and art.
