North Buncombe Youth Theater presents annual musical theatrical productions of our youth in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 from North Windy Ridge Intermediate and North Buncombe Middle schools.

We are pleased to have presented Disney's The Lion King Jr. in May 2022, Annie Jr. in December 2022, The Wizard of Oz in January 2024, and Aladdin Jr. in December 2024.

This joint venture combines the enormous efforts of faculty and parents from our North Buncombe schools and community. 

It has been proven that active participation in theater strengthens children's communication skills, memory, social awareness, aesthetic appreciation, problem solving, collaboration skills, and concentration.  In a world consumed by technology, theater provides an outlet for expanding perception, making creative choices, thinking new ideas, and exploring literature in expressive ways.

We are proud to provide the opportunity to be a part of what hopefully becomes a cultural fixture in our North Buncombe community and strengthen the performance arts for our youth.
