Based in Asheville, NC, Skysail Theatre tells thoughtful, provocative, and entertaining stories centered around LGBTQ themes through live performance art. Since 2022 the company has premiered two award-winning original musicals: "Tithonia: A Lesbian Opera,” which toured the US Fringe festival circuit, and “Interstellar Song Contest,” which premiered at Asheville Fringe and was also released as an audio drama. Skysail Theatre creates interdisciplinary and collaborative works by blending music, theatre, movement, and everything in between.
