Hauntville High: Class of ’26

Join us for our SIXTH annual Asheville Immersive Haunted House on Halloween Weekend 2026!
From the mindscape that brought you Appalachian Murder Ballad (2021), Appalachian Apocalypse (2022), AVL AI Summit (2023), House of Revolution (2024), and 13 Twisted Fairy Tails (2025), this year Hauntville brings to life [or death] HAUNTVILLE HIGH. With the support of Montford Park Players, we’re turning the Hazel Robinson Amphitheater on its head.
This familiar and beloved Asheville theater will be used as it has never been used before; the tour will take you backstage, behind stage, above and below stage, on stage and off. We’ll take you back to high school to relive the best (or worst) years of your life.
Hauntville Productions throws a site-specific Haunted House on Halloween weekend and satellite events throughout Asheville year-round. The Haunted House is a one-hour walkthrough tour featuring 13 vignettes, each a world within a world. We work with over 30 artists to create an emergent and interactive show over the course of just a few weeks. We are very proud of our community of actors, writers, directors, producers, visual artists, lighting and sound designers, and so many more. They, and you, are the reason this show comes to life year after year. To those of you who joined us before, welcome back. To the newcomers, you’re in for quite a treat (or trick). Happy Halloween. Happy Haunting. Happy Hauntville.
The show is heavily geared towards adult audiences, with themes including gore, blood, violence, and death. No one under the age of 18 will be allowed entry. The show may also interact with socially controversial themes, in hopes of offering a space to build the audience’s resilience and is not intended to dysregulate the audience gravely. This is an outdoor and indoor event, dress for cool and/or wet weather. Additionally, the show is built in pre-existing locations and our sets are designed around the infrastructure in place–the walkthrough requires walking up and down stairs and standing for long periods of time. There may be flashing lights and the use of smoke machines in addition to loud and surprising sensory outbursts. This event may not be suitable for those who foresee these circumstances posing accessibility issues.
If you’re still in, please choose your date and time below to purchase tickets.
We hope to scare you there.

Welcome Back Students,
Your High Headmistresses cordially invite you to tour Hauntville High for the incoming school year. It’s been a long summer since we’ve seen you and Hauntville has been busy lesson planning, painting the hallways, and water onboarding some new f*ckulty. It’s ok to feel nervous on your first day of school, everyone was a new kid once…there might be bullies looking for wet willies, noogies, or wedgies to make your ears bleed, but that’s why we kept the budget for the guidance counselor all these years. Curiosity is tantamount on this tour. Never be afraid to ask questions this school year, just beware the answers…Remember, closed mouths don’t get fed, sometimes the brightest minds have the coldest hearts.
Hauntville High was voted Best High School in WNC in this year’s Mountain ScarePress! Renowned for its “eclectic” and “surprising” teachers and our “interesting” lunch program, HVH prides itself on being a training ground for macabre and otherwise grotesque, yet gifted individuals. The Lethargic Panthers, Hauntville High’s Varsity Football Team, consistently ranks among the rank-est and foul-est of all odors in their entire conference and brought home Gold, Silver, and Bronze Metals from Nationals last year – and that’s just in their toxicology reports!
HVH’s experimental science program recently received a grant from the E.P.A. (Environmental Probing Agency) providing them with expired stem cells for use in their Flora and Fauna Program. Please take note: This pilot program is definitely NOT responsible for the colony of giant carnivorous rats in the third-floor bathrooms. NASA is currently looking into that.
In the Six Years since our Head Mistresses were tenured, Hauntville High is proud to say that our dropout rate has dropped significantly, but so has our graduation rate. Students do keep going missing, but at least they aren’t dropping out anymore! Freshman year is over before you know it, so clique up quickly and find your crew. The Head Mistresses run detention, so it’s best to stay on their good sides; they won’t have any lolly-gagging or loitering, nor do they tolerate hog-wash or back-talk. High School can be a terrifying and unpredictable storm and your Head Mistresses are here to usher you from Freshman Fear to Graduation in one piece, mostly.
Your friends are your lifeboat on this journey. Your clique of your peers are the only ones you can trust to weather it safely. Or are they?
5% of all ticket sales will be donated to local nonprofit Franklin School of Innovation
Tickets are non-refundable.
If our pricing is out of reach for you please email us at Hauntvilleavl@gmail.com. We do not want anyone to miss the show because they cannot afford a ticket.
