Performer Auditions Information

Auditions for individuals will be held Jan 31st between 10 – 6pm.

YES! Registration is require to participate in the individual auditions on the 31st.

ATA members can register now through Jan 15th! Using the purple button on this page.

Non-members can register starting Jan 1st through Jan 15th.

NO! Participation is free for all individuals auditioning.  But you do have to pre-register.

You will be asked to submit your resume and headshot at the time that you register so all the auditing directors will have a copy.

You have 2 minutes to audition.  You can use that for a song, or songs, monologue, or a song/monologue combo.  Just keep it under 2 minutes!

Each company / organization will do this differently.  At the of Jan 31st, they will reach out to you via email or phone to ask you for a call back or offer you a role.

This will be different for each organization.  Some will be holding call backs the next day and some will be holding them on their own at a future date.  It is up to them to communicate how they will do them.

No, this is open to all experiences and skill levels.  If you feel more comfortable auditioning as a group (instead of as an individual) concider the ensemble auditions instead.

Call Backs and Casting

We are asking each organization to reach out to you directly, either email or text, at the end of Jan 31st.

This will be different for each organization.  Some will be having call backs on the next day, Feb 1st, and some will be hosting their own call backs at a future date.  If a director reaches out to you after your audition, they will share the details.

If an organization reaches out to you on Jan 31st about call backs, make sure to let them know if you are unable to attend Feb 1st.  They will arrange a different option with you if available.

This is different for each organization.  Some will be hosting their out auditions at a future date and some will be casting directly from the ARTAs.  Check out their website for additional infomation.

Ensemble Auditions

Ensemble auditions are opportunities for performers to be considered for group or supporting roles within a production or across a theater’s season. In community theatre, these auditions are just as vital as lead-role auditions, the ensemble brings the show to life through movement, music, and atmosphere, and often includes featured moments or smaller character parts.

These group auditions are designed for a low pressure audition process in a group setting. No prepared monologue or song required.

Ensemble auditions will be held Feb 1st at 10am. We are asking everyone to register for ensemble auditions also.

No.  If you are already auditioning on Jan 31st, you do not need to attend the ensemble auditions also.  The directors will have your information already.

Consider signing up for our dance auditions instead.  See details below.

Dance Auditions / Dance Call

Dance auditions are opportunities for performers to be considered for dance roles within a production or across a theater’s season. Often these roles do not have lines or sing.

Yes, as long as you’ve registered, you can attend.  Some director may ask you to come if they are considering you for a role with more dancing required.

No.  We will have a choreographer teach you a short routine that you will perform in groups.

Depending on how many people audition, we may not have time for a warm up.  We recommend bring comfortable clothes you can move in and give yourself time to warm up and stretch before we start.

Feb 2, 11-12pm

Volunteer and Tech Interviews

Ever been interested in volunteering or participating in backstage roles?  Show up on Feb 1st between 5-6 pm to talk to theaters about your interests and ways you can get involved.  Resume optional.
