UPCOMING AUDITIONS

Broadcast from New York’s Mercury Theatre in 1938, this infamous radio play, based on the novel by H. G. Wells, had many terrified listeners convinced that an actual alien invasion of Earth was taking place. Adapted by Howard E. Koch, co-writer of Casablanca, and directed and narrated by Orson Welles, this original script detailing the frightening tale of an extraterrestrial takeover is now available to bring to life onstage to thrill and chill audiences.

The October 30 at 7:30 PM show will be performed at the Grace Mills River Church.

The October 31 at 3:00 PM, November 1 at 3:00 PM shows will be performed at Hendersonville Theatre.

The Generation Ship, by Abby Auman, Jason Phillips, Katie Jones, and Quinn Terry is a look into humanity’s potential future, through snapshots in the lives of those living on a ship which has left a destroyed planet Earth, to seek out new possibilities for humankind. The journey is so long that those who started it won’t see its end on a new planet - but their great, great grandchildren (hopefully) will. Through a series of monologues and scenes, ranging in feel from darkly comic to poignant to surreal, we explore what it might be like to be flying on board humanity’s last hope.

Auditions will consist of small group sessions with cold readings of monologues and sides. Each person auditioning will also be asked to spend about 45 seconds to tell a story without speaking.

Please note: characters are open in terms of age and gender, but we're currently only casting folks who are 18+ as of January 1, 2027.
